Documents for application for Express Entry

Certain documents are required at different stages of the Express Entry application process.
  1. A passport or travel document
  2. language test results
  3. Proof of Canadian education or an educational credential assessment report for immigration purposes if;
    1. applying through the Federal Skilled Workers Program, or
    2. to get points for the education you got outside of Canada
  4. Provincial nomination
  5. Written job offer from an employer in Canada (if you have one), proof of work experience, certificate of qualification in a trade occupation issued by a Canadian province or territory (if you have one)
  6. Proof of funds

Documents for application for permanent residence

It is needed to upload copies of the documents for the profile. Most applicants will also need to upload the following:

1. Police certificates
2. Medical exams
3. Proof of funds
4. Birth Certificate (required if declaring dependent children)
5. Representative Form (required if hiring a representative)
6. Common-law Union Form (Required if declared marital status as “common-law”)
7. Marriage certificate (Required if declared marital status as “married”)
8. Divorce certificate and legal separation agreement (Required if declared marital status as “divorced”)
9. Death certificate (Required if declared marital status as “widowed”)
10. Adoption certificate (Required when a dependent child is listed as “adopted”)

Other Documents

  1. Proof of relationship to a relative in Canada
  2. Digital photos to confirm the identity
  3. Other names to confirm aliases
  4. Authority to release personal information to a designated individual form
  5.  Any other documents
